I drove by this dealer the other day, and saw a GT-R on their lot with a MASSIVE wing, so of course I had to investigate.

The description says:
“***ONE OF THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CARS EVER***THIS ONE HAS MODS THAT MAKE IT EVEN FASTER***”
The “mods” are as follows:
*light blue wrap in a “Mat” finish.
*CF front splitter and the most ridiculous rear wing ever.
*”The suspension has also been up graded with spring”
*Oh, and what’s that I see in the photos? is that underbody neon lighting?! Someone sure went full Fast and Furious on their poor car.
*Pop up the hood and you’re treated to a mirror above the engine. Yeah, I bet that’s great for disappating heat. And this tasteful upgrade is capped off with the largest GT-R logo you’ve EVER seen...just in case you forget what kind of car you have if for some reason you feel the need to pop your hood, as if to say “WTF are you doing, dummy? THIS is a GT-R!!! Only incompetent dealer techs are allowed in here!”
*Four point harnesses come included too, because you never know, you might accidentally drop onto a road course on your way home from your latest car meet.
“ Previous owner purchased it brand new and it still looks like the day it rolled off the lot!”
Yeah! Looks the exact same!!
Except for all the hideous cosmetic upgrades and an ugly blue wrap..

Mat wrap: +100 hp
CF splitter and wing: +250 hp
Spring: +20 hp
Neons: +1000 hp
The dealer is right.

The mods done to it barely get a pass from me but the price?? Are used GTRs really that expensive?

I think that raising the price by $7k like clockwork every year has had the effect of propping up residual values.
The 2009 cars were $70k brand new. I doubt they ever dip below $60k.

I agree, the mirror is stupid and they need a darker blue. The rest I will give a pass because I like that cheesy shit.
